Easy Tandoori Chicken recipe
This is a wonderful restaurant style chicken which is one of my favourite. Goes well as an amazing starter or snack.
The secret to the perfect chicken dish lies in the marination.
Here our focus in more on the marination and the reason you will come to know after the tasting session.
Here comes the recipe..
Ingredients:
Chicken 500g (cut into large pieces)
This involves a two step marination.
Ingredients for first step marination:
2 tbsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 lemon(juice of one lemon)
Ingredients for second step marination:
2tbsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp kasoori methi leaves
4 tbsp curd
Method:
- Wash the chicken and drain it .
- Mix the ingredients of first step marination in a bowl and marinate the chicken pieces with this paste.
- Cover and keep it in fridge for half an hour.
- Similarly mix the ingredients of second step marination in a bowl .
- After half an hour take the chicken out and marinate it with the second paste. Add bit more of salt to taste
- Again keep it in fridge for half an hour.
- Now the chicken is ready for grilling.
- Preheat oven at 200 degree Celsius.
- Grill the chicken pieces for 30 minutes.
PS: I used convection oven and used it in grill mode. In OTG it may take around 30 to 40 minutes depending on brand.
Delicious Tandoori Chicken is ready and you can savour it as a starter.
