Malaysia: The best budget holiday destination
Malaysia
The best budget holiday destination.
When it comes to planning budget holiday destinations there is no doubt that Malaysia would be on top of that list.
Here is how to plan a 5 day trip to Malaysia.
Though Malaysia has visa on arrival facility, I would suggest to go for entri visa or e-visa for a hassle free travel. Also in some seasons they give a waive off to visa fee.
Booking your hotels.
Its a catchy part and depends on where you want to explore.
With a main intention of trying local food I preferred to stay near food streets. But person to person priority changes and you should book accordingly. We stayed close to Jalan Alor food street in Bukit Bintang area . This location had easy access to ; rail station, bus stops and shopping malls.
Day 1:
On Day1 we reached hotel relaxed and enjoyed the evening at Jalan Alor food street and the shopping malls in Bukit Bintang area.
Day 2: On Day 2 you can plan to goto petronas twin tower and Suria KLCC park. KLCC aquaria is worthwhile for kids. For Petronas twin tower visit you can prebook the tickets in advance and go to the topmost floor.

In the evening you can plan to goto chinatown for local shopping. KL central is also nearby where you can easily get souvenirs and gift articles.
Day 3:
On Day 3 we paid a visit to KL bird park before checking out. A place where you get to see a lot of beautiful birds roaming freely. It was indeed a unique experience. After checkout we headed out to Genting Highlands on a taxi. On the way we halted at Batu caves for sightseeing. We climbed the umpteen steps to reach the Murugan temple and clicked few pictures. We reached Genting Highlands by evening.
The best part was we stayed in the first world hotel(largest hotel in the world in terms of rooms) in Genting Highlands which had access to shopping malls, casinos and all kinds of entertainment in one go within the hotel.
Day 4: On this day we explored Genting Highlands through cable car. Chin Swee cave temple is on the way and it is really worth taking a halt here and exploring.
First world plaza in itself have all the attractions right from snow world, game and amusement parks.
Day 5: On this day you can explore strawberry garden and orchid garden and then give bid Goodbye to the tour.
As per your interest you can easily prioritise your destination and sightseeing in Malaysia. Above is the itinerary which I have experienced.
This is actually a sample guideline to explore the country. Malaysia has other amazing options such as Langawi if you are keen to visit beaches and islands.
